SCRYPEX vs SecurityScorecard for small teams

SecurityScorecard rates organizations with a letter-grade scorecard and sells third-party risk packages priced by how many organizations you monitor. SCRYPEX finds and explains your own company's exposures and leaked credentials at a published monthly price. Here is how they differ.

Choose SecurityScorecard if…

Choose SecurityScorecard if you need to rate and monitor many other organizations: its TITAN Watch, Assess and Secure packages are built around vendor scorecards, questionnaires and third- and fourth-party mapping, and a free account gives you a scorecard for your own domain. Pricing is on request and depends on how many organizations you monitor.

Choose SCRYPEX if…

Choose SCRYPEX if you want the specific exposed service, leaked password or lookalike domain and the steps to fix it, not a grade. SCRYPEX publishes its prices, starts at $179/mo, and includes credential, dark web and ransomware intelligence on Business.

The SecurityScorecard column repeats what SecurityScorecard's own pricing page said on 2026-10-09; where that page is silent, the cell says so. The SCRYPEX column comes from our pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

Is a security rating the same as attack surface monitoring?

No. A rating summarizes an organization's outside-in posture as a score, which is useful for comparing vendors. Attack surface monitoring lists the individual exposures (an open database port, a leaked credential, a lookalike domain) so someone can fix them. SCRYPEX does the second; SecurityScorecard is built around the first.

Does SCRYPEX give a risk score?

Yes. Every workspace and the free scan show a 0 to 100 risk score, but the product is organized around the findings behind it and their fix steps.

Can I try SCRYPEX without talking to sales?

Yes. Run the free scan with no email, or start a 14-day trial with no credit card. Prices are on the pricing page.
